about this story
Someone in a rush,
someone with a crush,
hurried their way down the street, almost as fast as their heart was beating.
Passing many signs, ignoring them all, unknowing it was all he had been doing all this time
Wishing, hoping, wanting to believe; that it was not the end.
They wondered if their best was enough, but love wanted nothing more.
They arrived at beach-side by sunset, the distant "splash" "splash" of the tides echoing in their head.
They looked to the horizon, watching the sunset, fearing that the end has come.
But one turn, one face, and one smile proved that he was wrong
Wanting to make up for everything he hasn't done, he runs to her crying tears watery as a river.
Filled with relief, he confesses to her how he has felt all this time
He turns away, silently wished he had never said anything, but love thought otherwise, and much to his surprise, she felt the same for the longest time.
They make their way down the street, reminded of how important, the love one has
