Even as a child, Sigmund Freud always had a curious mind. He is a fan of self-evaluation and on most of these evaluations, he uses his dreams in the process. Also, his interaction with other people contributes a lot to his findings. He believes that there are layers within a person's personality. This is what we call "the self". In his studies, he introduced the id, the superego, and the ego. The id is the wicked part of the brain while the superego is the virtuous one. To prevent dangers to the well-being, a healthy ego is needed in order to bloom and grow as a person.
