about this story
i arived at the church, it was 6 o'clock in the morning.the sun was coming up, air was cold and smelled like tar i went to unlock the big blue iron front gate and went to turn on the air before the start of the service at 8. as i walked down the front path and passed all the benches i could't help but think about the summer, going to or lake and going for a ride in our kayak down the river on a cold summers morning, oh how that is my favorite thing to do. i could not get distracted with the task at hand, i had the do the opening speech for this Sundays service. i started writing but by now it was around 7:30 and people started walking in and sittind down i did not know what to say or do.
