about this story

Looking out the window, I noticed that fog was clogging up my view of the trail. This morning, the air was extremely foggy, but I couldn’t stray from my daily routine because of some fog. Lacking all motivation, I groggily got out of bed to brush my teeth, wash my face, and get dressed. I ate a very small breakfast and walked out the rustic door to start my walk. As I walked along the trail, I noticed something I have never seen before. I walked through the fog to get a better view of this structure. It was a fence. There was a warning sign on the fence stating that the property belonged to the U.S, and anyone trespassing will be prosecuted. This sign didn’t stop my curiosity though, so I found an alternative way through the fence. I wondered why I had never seen this fence before as I walked through the eerie property. Suddenly, I stumbled upon a graveyard. Most of the graves were tall. It made me think that these graves belonged to important people in our government. The gravestones were discolored, covered in dirt, and had moss growing on them. As I walked past the graveyard, I came upon an abandoned carousel. One of the animals stuck out to me most. The animal was a rooster. All of the other rides were horses. It sent chills down my spine when I stepped closer to the rooster because it was as if its eyes were following me. This was very unsettling, so I quickened my pace to get away. Further back in the property, there was an archway to what seemed like another society. The archway was tall, and it was painted a light shade of blue. Walking closer towards the entrance, I could hear sounds of talking, laughter, and music. I had to stop myself from walking through the archway in case the inhabitants were violent, but a question was flying circles around my head. Who lived here?
