about this story
Summer time...my favorite time of the year. A time where Carnivals are everywhere, sunny skies, late nights, and amazing memories with your favorite people. The carousels with their bright lights and fun figures to choose from and ride, racing to your favorite one, hoping to beat everyone else to it, you make it, then it starts, round and round, as you move up and down, the familiar music playing. You smell the popcorn and sweets that are being made. So delicious! The smell of nature and outdoors, the scent of flowers you can smell as you walk around. You see so much color during the summer time, every color seems so much brighter, the colors on the houses and signs, the beautiful trees, the flowers, the blue sky and fluffy clouds. Maybe even a cool breeze. One of those days when it's not too hot and not too cold, just the right temperature. Days like those are the best, perfect for a calming walk with your friends and family on that gravel path you have always wanted to explore. Unfortunately, it doesn't lead to anywhere exciting, but the adventure was still fun. Then as the sun sets, the air is cool, sitting outside with your family, watching your fire you made and roasting marshmallows. A cool summer night. Smiles on everyone's faces and laughter echoing in the breeze. You couldn't ask for a better day. The sun is gone and everyone's tired. You put the fire out and walk inside to go to bed, not caring about the smell of smoke that resonates on your clothes or in your hair, too tired from the amazing and eventful day you just had. Eventually the day must come to an end...but that's ok, for tomorrow will bring more sunny skies and relaxing times.
