about this story

My day started by going to get breakfast with some of my friends at our favorite breakfast place downtown. I had my favorite, which was waffles with bacon and eggs. We sat around and ate our breakfast and talked about how things were going. After we ate, I had to go home around 9:30 so I could spend time with my family. My brother and sister said that they wanted to go to the park. Our recreation district is doing a summer fun program to try to get families outside. Today they were doing a bounce house in the public park near us. So my family and our dogs all walked over to the park to open up the summer on this especially hot memorial day. My dad and I walked our dogs while my mom stayed with my siblings while they bounced. We were all having a great time but we had plans at around 1 to go to a memorial center to visit some relatives that had passed away. We left home at around 12:30 to arrive on time. We got there and met the rest of my dad's side of the family to go visit my grandpa's mother. When we arrived at the tombstone we all said a prayer together to honor our great grandma. In classic grandpa fashion Ken sat down with my brother and sister to tell all great stories of him and his mother while he was growing up. We all stayed and talked for a while but then it was time to get home for my brother and sister to nap. While they were being put down my dad and I went on a hike on the trail head in our backyard. We usually did this at the end of every week just to slow down and talk. And that's how we wrapped up my day.
