about this story

I am a collector of lost objects, discarded and seemingly mundane things.
Each object, mark, place, or person I find is like a beacon.
We signal to each other, and open doors and portals into worlds.
The most ordinary of objects can be extraordinary when seen and handled and loved, we lay bricks for each other, not to put up walls to divide, but to create stairs to climb higher, and homes for spirits to rest.
Seekers of lost objects, it is our job to find each other, find a common ground, a common language.
