Rene Descartes' Cartesianism philosophy was affected by his skepticism, which led him to question all he knew, whether it was true or not. He was so skeptical of everything he knew that he began to momentarily deny what he knew in the past, then re-examine those beliefs to see if they were dubious or indubitable, a skepticism known as Cartesian skepticism.
