about this story

Growing up I was a HUGE Lil Wayne fan, but listening to Lil Wayne while driving always equaled disaster for me. Less than five minutes after receiving my driver's license I was listening to Lil Wayne when I hit someone making an illegal turn. A few weeks later I was pulled over while listening to Lil Wayne. My final straw was a serious car accident in which I was the passenger and guess who we were listening to... Lil Wayne. Since that day I have not listened to Lil Wayne in the car. If his song comes on the radio, I change the station. If he is featured on a song, I will either skip the song or remove his verse entirely. I do not believe in superstitions, but this Lil Wayne curse is real. During my college years I was a DJ. I threw all the parties on campus. At one point I was on payroll for the institution as its entertainment. Fun fact: I was placed on probation my first day of college for throwing a party in the hallway on my dorm building. Growing up I was always fascinated with houses. I dreamed of becoming a architect, but there was one problem, I couldn't draw. For those who know me, my Zoom background is a wall in my mancave that is filled with an array of hats and caps, the count currently sits at 33. I stopped purchasing hats when I started growing out my hair in December. Lastly, my love language is gifts. I love to receive them and I love to give them. I love to give my wife flowers and plants even though I know she has a black thumb. But it's the thought that counts, right?
