"What is their definition of disturbed?" I step over the iron-clad ordinance, debating without myself whether it has ever been enforced. Cutting into the back alley beyond Gemini Pizza, or what used to be Gemini pizza a few years back, I glance up at a mural. "Why do they have to scribble over someone's art?" She looks like Katrina, lonely, distance, determined. The headpiece reminds me of our garden. It was barely eighty square feet and everything died by mid-July almost on cue. Moving forward because there is no choice, I see a bike with no lock. "This could be my lucky day." I look around for others, but something in my mind says stop. Maybe it is Katrina.
