about this story

This is a story about four friends from a small town. One friend left that town to pursue their ambitions for something greater, to be a leader and a part of something bigger. After accomplishing great things, and reflecting on what was important to this one friend, they wanted to return home to see what they left behind, who they left behind. Upon their return, their hometown was a fragment of the town they remembered. Abandoned homes and businesses seemed to be all that was left, with the other friends no where to be found. It seemed like everyone had left that town to pursue their desire for more, for better, leaving nothing left for the town itself.
