about this story

In life, there are many directions we can take. This exit symbolizes a choice whether to leave the familiar behind or continue down the path you have already been following. To me, it represents hope for change finding what truly makes you happy, and moving away from a dark place. Life offers many exits, and you have to choose the one that will better you.

Sometimes, a new beginning is exactly what a person needs. A fresh start can help you discover something that motivates you fully and gives you a reason to keep pushing forward in life.

It also means putting an end to negativity and to the version of yourself you no longer want to be. It is about stepping out of your shell and growing into a new you, with a more positive attitude and a healthier more balanced lifestyle. Too often people are drawn more toward negativity and what is broken than grasping toward positivity and growth.

As you continue your journey, you begin to see light on the other side of the road. That is where healing starts, and where you can begin putting your life back together and living the way you have always dreamed. Many people look for the day when they no longer have to carry the weight of their past and can finally allow light to shine into their future.

At a certain point in your healing journey, the people around you will begin to notice the new you. You will start to feel proud, confident, and secure in what you are doing with your life. This chapter is a reminder to follow your own foot steps and take action to better you
