The old shoreline was known as one of the pretties' sights but also the scariest places to go. There were rumors of a strange creature sighting. Well, that's what I was told at least in till that one day. It was May 24, 1989, I was on my way to meet up with some friends at the shoreline to "look" for the strange creature. We planned to stay the whole night in tents on the beach. When I got there my best friend Larry was unpacking his car and was about to walk down into the woods to get down to the beach. I yelled out the window " hey Dum Dum wait for me I'll help you"! He huffed a "okay". Larry and I walked down the path. The path is very overgrown; you can tell that no one has been down here for years. When we got on the beach all of our other friends were already setting up for camp. The sun was starting to set, and I was getting the fire ready. There wasn't much I remembered until we were siting and telling scary stories. My friend Marry was telling a story about a girl living in the woods. Suddenly we heard a loud BANG! We all stood up and looked at the woods and each other. Then we heard a weird growling noise. "Oh, stop messing with us Larry" Marry said. "That wasn't me" Larry said shaking. " Yes, it..." Marry went to say as the growling got louder. We all stayed silent. Suddenly I saw glowing eyes and a thing that looked like a huge lizard man. I pointed, thinking my eyes were playing tricks on me. Marry said, "WHAT"! As soon as I saw the fear in her eyes, I knew I wasn't seeing things. We all ran to our cars and left everything there we had. The next day we all promised to never go back there again. I don't care what anyone says, there was a strange creature there; and it was a Lizard Man.
