I woke up early one morning to catch the sunrise before going on my son's field trip as a chaperone. The sky was beautiful and I was grateful to start the day on the water. Then it was time for the chaos to begin. Little bodies with loud mouths and lots of curiosity listened to our very patient tour guide talk about the ship and the settlers and then the kids were silent and still for just long enough to take a group picture. They had a great day. I spent the evening searching for a book end, and got it with the gorgeous sunset. It reminded me that today was a beautiful day, even it was loud and chaotic. After the sunset, I needed grown up food, not just a sandwich from a brown paper bag, so I treated myself to a decadent meal. Once I was finished with dinner, I read my book, which was a thriller/suspenseful novel about where the suspect would lead his victims for ambush. My day started with a sunrise, ended with a sunrise, and then had a nightcap of suspense. Today was a good day.
