about this story
Hi! My name is Franketta, but I go by Fran (it's easier to pronounce correctly). I am a K-12 educational leader who is proud to foster positive learning experiences for our next generation of leaders. In other words, I do what I do everyday for the kids! I am a creative, unique person. I value all things arts related--music, painting, dancing, poetry, etc. I have a personality that stands out. I think deeply and often make connections that others do not. I'm in a period of rocky transition professionally, to say the least. I am leaving a position I've held for the last five years to start a new role this Summer. This change is not necessarily by choice, but rather "strong encouragement". Therefore, I am facing a period in my life where I have to decide how I will choose to respond. Today, I'm choosing to see windows of new opportunities for growth and continual professional leadership development. I look forward to learning and growing as a principal through the course concepts in this class.
