about this story

1. A library window beckons on a cold, wintry day. The leafless trees cast shadows like crooked fingers inviting us in to while away the afternoon hours finding adventure in the pages of well-worn books. 2. We choose the first volume of "Hours in a Library" and curl up in a slightly musty armchair, curious to see where this story will take us. 3. We open the cover to see a carefully folded note. The note reveals that this is more than any oldy moldy library book. It is a key to solving a mystery older than time. Chapter one - the first hour - We are told to travel to a crumbling stone wall. A note inside a crevass helps to translate a part of chapter two. 4. Chapter two - the second hour - We are led to a skull and clue to translate a part of chapter three. 5. Chapter three - the third hour. We hear footsteps behind us on the pavement and turn just in time to see a figure reaching to close the distance between us. End of part one of the series. Part two, "Time to Go", to be published just long enough in the future for this first installment to be almost completely forgotten.
