This summer was full of adventures. I started in Washington D.C. While there, I visited the Lincoln Memorial. It was a great place to visit. It seemed like everyone was there because it was so busy. After spending a day in D.C. and visiting all the different memorials, I headed west. My first stop was in Kansas. The poor Sunflowers were all dried up because of the heat. My next stop was Colorado. While walking around a small town, we found this fat cat just laying across the path enjoying the nice day. After spending a relaxing day in Colorado, I left for Idaho to visit family. While in Boise, there was a major storm. During the storm, we lost all power. We lit matches and candles to help us see where we were going. After a couple of hours, the power finally came back on. After spending a couple of days with family, I headed for the Oregon Coast. Oh, it was so relaxing to hear the waves crash up against the rocks along the coast. After spending a couple of days there, I did not want to return home. But I knew I had to. I enjoyed my summer travels and cannot wait to repeat them next year.
