The only lively sound in the cold morning breeze was the laughter of children playing in the fresh white snow, I put down the old pictures I found in the attic onto the table and decided to take a long slow stroll down the abandoned road that lead to a small lake, as I walked peacefully on the fluffy carpet of snow, I saw something that amazed me, the last flower, standing amougst the dead dry grass, waiting to be consumed by the oncoming winter.I carefully dug up the flower and planted it into a small pot in front of the window sill. It looked just right, sitting there by my desk, looking out the window.
