about this story

I was working and felt kind of hungry and because I had been working late for the past few days, I didn't have a chance to go to the store, so I decided to pick up some food on my way home. After about 5 min I saw this very cosy market and decided I could't resist the urge to shop for something. Anything. Anything eventually turned out in a bunch of flowers. I drove further home and I could smell the flowers in the car. filling the air with their scent. And I realized that we don't have a lot of nature left in the city. All you can see is a tree every once in a while. And most of the times, it's an old sick or simply ugly tree. Driving home I started to think about other nature-ralted subjects. I started to think about the rain-forest, global warming and endangered animal-species. I started thinking about those wonderful gorillas in Africa and about the poaching that goes on around there. I started to feel a little bit sad. I wish I could do a little something for those animals. so the next day I said to myself:"I can't help a bunch of gorillas, but maybe one animal would be a start". So a went to an animal-shelter and I got myself a dog. It wasn't a pup, but an adult dog which was apparently not good taken care of by the family he was with. And at a certain day the family just bound their dog to a tree and they left him there to fend for himself. Now I'll take good care for him and I'll have helped at least one animal. It may sound stupid and maybe even selfish, but it makes me feel good, useful and helpful.
