10 years into the future, sooner than any scientist could predict. Air is no longer safe to breath and gas masks are to be worn outdoors at all times. With too little oxygen from lack of trees and too many pollutants from industry human race is just working to survive. The world is covered in concrete and garbage, it is eerily quiet due to the absence of birds. Anything that produces emissions is outlawed, the only way to get anywhere is to walk, not an easy task when you can't breathe the air. It is eerily quiet, no electricity, no plumbing, and worst of all no nature. The city streets are lined with fake trees, a last ditch attempt at creating hope. All food is produced artificially and there's nothing left to do but wait, for hope or for death, whichever comes first.
