I'm currently staring at a little boy pouting by the water. He's staring at these orange leaves like they're the most beautiful things he's ever seen. He doesn't notice me standing there taking pictures of him. I stop in my tracks because this little boy was me as a child. Suddenly, my mind rushes back to when my parents gave me up at the pier. The pain and heartache I felt in those days. I see myself in the boy, so I did what the little boys grandfather once did when he saw me alone at the pier. Talk to him.
