about this story

My PD presentation has been over 2 decades in the making. I began discovering the wonders of using signs (American Sign Language signs) with hearing kids in a regular ed. classroom many years ago. I have been thinking of, planning, and preparing ways of utilyzing it in the classroom ever since.

I am always excited to share my discoveries with other educators and loved having this opportunity.

One conflict which occurred during the PD was that I ran out of time. I had too much information and should have done a better job of picking and choosing the most important information.

Although the feedback was positive, I felt a bit frustrated at the end because I'd tried to jam too much information into the available time and, therefore, felt as though I had not conveyed my ideas as effectively as I had hoped.
