感恩節又到了，我駕車行駛在熟悉的鄉間小道上，11月的賓夕法尼亞冷的不可思議，大學厚厚地堆積在路旁的公路牌下面。是176號，我的心裡默唸著，看來已經離家很近了。我離開故鄉已經很久，在弗羅里達的鄉下的小公寓里。我遠離親人，遠離紛擾，沐浴著溫暖的陽光，享受著孤獨與安寧。但是時間總會讓人漸漸臣服于回憶，所以我選擇了回來。我熟練地把車停在了房子前面，下了雪后房子顯得更加斑駁。但我依然認得它，我與隔壁農場的火雞打了招呼，摸出鑰匙打開房門，輕車熟路地掛號衣服，今天是感恩節，我便徑直走向廚房。和家人們一起和麵，打蛋，一切都是那麼得令人懷念，我感動于這熟悉的房間，熟悉的味道，仿佛一切都回到了從前。回過神來，我坐在餐桌前，面前是空無一物的桌子，廚房也乾乾淨淨。我已經70歲了，我失去了曾擁有的一切，現在他們都只存在我的回憶里。現在我回到了這裡，但我明白，我所想要的這裡已經沒有了。坐上車，我看著後視鏡里漸行漸遠的176號路牌，心裡默念，那裡曾經是我的家鄉。
