I was a carefree child riding my bike through my small one-stoplight and one hundred percent white town. I never questioned that invisible fence that kept me sheltered and my world so small. A small world where my experience was normal, where I was colorblind and judged others based on my own small understanding.

One day I left that small town…

The writing was on the wall- my world could no longer be small

The writing was on the wall- my world was a false tower

The writing was on the wall- the tower had to fall
