Creating boundaries and limit people who can enter your life is normal because you don't know who's who and you don't know who's real to you. Honestly speaking, it is way too scary to think that the person whom you trusted the most has the power to ruin the whole you and the possibility that they can broke your trust are terrifying. That is why setting boundaries can help you glow up beautifully and care less to those people who have been treating you wrong. Also, being alone sometimes doesn't make you lonely, the fact that it is your only way to escape from reality and meet the inner peace that you've been wanting to have for so long is the best decision that you will not regret for the rest of your life.
