about this story

(Pic 1 Introduction): In modernized societies, throw away culture is becoming the norm. The new model of something we already have comes out and we jump to replace it, throwing the old in the garbage even if it still works.

(Pic 2): Data shows populations are rising and more countries are becoming modernized following in our footsteps of hyper-consumerism.

(Pic 3 Counter Argument): This Lifestyle is unsustainable, however it may be difficult to change consumers preferences change the path that we are headed down.

(Pic 4): For progress to occur we have to first acknowledge that there is a problem to be fixed and stop acting blind to the issues our choices create.

(Pic 5 Conclusion): We need to begin to ponder what sustainable solutions we are willing to implement. There is opportunity on multiple stops of the supply chain to minimize the environmental impacts of throw away culture, we just have to decide what to do together.
