about this story

1 -
Human connection is a necessity. While feeling lonely is normal but it can be scary and even destructive for some. It hurts and feels like you wander alone in a blurred-out world, feeling disconnected and misunderstood.

2 -
Social interaction is more important than people realize. Science proves that anxiety and depression can be lowered and help regulate emotions and lead to higher self-esteem and empathy for one another. As a human, we are dependent on each other to live better lives. Just walking on a bridge one evening with a friend can boost your mood.

3 -
Besides, like the flowers, there is beauty in connecting to others. The memories you make and the assurance that you have someone that is maybe a phone call or text away. It's rewarding in a way.

4 -
However, these days it is so easy for people to disappoint you. It only takes one special person or situation to leave you broken. You could pick up the pieces and try to move on, put your energy and trust in others but that would risk getting hurt again. It can be so easy by yourself. You do not have to rely on anyone to make you happy or feel loved, you can learn to do that on your own. There are fewer struggles and heartaches but more relaxation and self-discovery. The world is not black and white in that sense, but yours can. You can either find possible contentment with yourself or risk getting disappointed by others.

5 -
Then again, it's possible that for most of us, the fear of being alone is greater than the fear of being hurt. While there is no need to force relationships or the need to be surrounded by people consistently, it is great to have a community of people or people that you at least trust to have your back and to be there for you when needed. The rocks symbolize that the right people in your circle are the ones that will help you be strong and will always be there. People need people to grow together and to be better.
