about this story

Introduction-Society needs to give their mind a rest from technology. We spend so much time on our phones or other devices that miss out on the beauty of life. I feel as though people are missing out on quality time with family, gardening, painting, reading or honestly just normal human interactions that don’t involve an electronic device. Do people still stop and smell the roses?
Pic 2- People spend countless hours scrolling through Instagram, Facebook or different social media outlets. Just wasting precious hours on nothing when you could be picking up a new hobby or just going outside. Phones are literally frying our brain to mush. I saw a study that said long term effects of technology like the constant texts, alerts, calls, emails, and notifications we receive on our phones have been shown to diminish the human ability to focus.
Pic 3- In today's world people have a phone, laptop, tablet, smart watch and the list can go on. What is the purpose of having so many devices? To me these devices have become more important than actually being present in the world. So many people hide behind screens whether to bully, date online or make friends. Instead of all these devices people need to make real human connections.
Pic 4-People have jobs today that allow them to work from home or use social media as an income. Technology has made advancements but also has brought people a new source of income. Some jobs that you can work from home would be customer service rep, social media manager, content creator. Technology today is a big money maker and makes everyday tasks easier.
Conclusion- I am not saying that phones are horrible, but what I am saying is we need to give them a rest. We will miss out on the beauty of the world if our eyes are always on a phone. The world is so beautiful and we need to be able to put our phones down to enjoy it.
