Elementary schools is out for the summer and Kevin is antsy for something to do. Knowing Kevin will only sit still for so long, Kevin's mom decided a morning at the beach searching for shells was the best way to kick off the day. Together, Kevin and his mom walked to the beach taking in the calm morning. It wasn't long after they arrived when Kevin turned to his mom and shared that he was hungry. Knowing Kevin inherited her "hangry" tendency, Kevin's mom led the way to the local coffee shop, making sure to pass by their favorite house where a palm tree was recently planted. As they reached the coffee shop, Kevin noticed a yellow Jeep sitting outside and began to excited tell his mom that when he was finally old enough the drive, this would be the car he would get. He then began to rattle off all the facts he know about Jeeps and why the color yellow was truly the best. As Kevin expressed his love of all things Jeep and yellow, his mom ordered food and a much needed coffee. After enjoying their food break, Kevin and his mom wandered back to the beach for another hour of shell searching, body surfing, and dolphin watching. Ready for the next adventure of the day, Kevin and his mom began their journey home. Not long into their walk, Kevin spotted a yellow butterfly on a leaf. He turned to his mom and declare this as a sign for why yellow is the best color and that they should go home and bake a yellow cake. Kevin's mom smiled and thought to herself about how she is a little ready for yellow buses to start running again.
