As each day passed the man on the deserted island began to lose hope. The only food he could find on the island were apples. He was getting very sick of his diet of apples and water. Everyday he would climb the steps on an old abandoned lighthouse to see if a boat was passing the island. Everyday he climbed the steps his new found friend 'birdie' would silently go with him. One day as he reached the top of the lighthouse steps birdie began to sing. The man looked out the lighthouse window to see a boat arriving. He would be saved. Now the man talks about living on a desserted island for large crowds of people who want to hear his story.
