The balcony on the first floor gave no hint of what lay inside the apartment. From across the road at the seedy hotel, wallpaper peeling, Sean peered through binoculars, trying to get an idea of what was going on. Giving up after hours of nothing, he sauntered over to the apartment, leaping up the stairs with new-found energy, only to find an empty room - empty except for a pair of runners.
Meanwhile the escapee had fled and was on his way to a distant place where he couldn't be found. Or could he? What was to be done? Surely grafitti wasn't the answer.
